LANG Brings LA to HK: A Look Inside the LANG x Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong “Slow Down, LA Style” Pop-Up

By Zarah Cheng

You could say that it feels like a homecoming of sorts. When LANG was first conceived three years ago as a retail concept that would focus on carrying Asian-founded brands, Hong Kong was very much at the heart of the project. With LANG’s founder, Kayla Wong, born and raised in Hong Kong, the essence of the brand is deeply entrenched with the spirit of the city in which she spent most of her formative years. Having laid down roots in Los Angeles with a flagship store and steadily growing our community since then, it only seems right to go back to where it all started.

From March 31 to April 30, LANG will be teaming up with Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong for a “Slow Down, LA Style” pop-up. The space is envisioned as a calm, creative escape in the heart of the city. Timed just after Hong Kong Art Month, LANG x Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong brings together retail and wellness with the intention of helping guests pause, reset, and recharge.

On what this pop-up means to her, Kayla explains, "What I enjoy most is bringing people together and creating with those who inspire me. This pop-up embodies the first of many renditions of what I hope will be many more collaborative moments bridging my love for both of my homes: HK and LA."

Created as a response to Hong Kong’s fast pace, the pop-up introduces a laid-back West Coast sensibility inspired by Los Angeles. At the centre of the activation is the “Slow Down” experience—an invitation to step away from daily pressures, reconnect with inner balance, and embrace moments of quiet, rediscovering a sense of ease within Hong Kong’s dynamic rhythm.

In collaboration with Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, a global flagship hotel with a hyperlocal touch, the pop-up aims to celebrate and highlight local creators, brands and designers, featuring both established and emerging Hong Kong designers, including CODA, Kinyan Lam, PONDER.ER, The World Is Your Oyster, Participation, Affection Blvd, Victoria, KITDO, and athenaeum(m.), alongside a selection of Asian American brands such as Geel, Woodrose Deli, Little Tokyo Run Club, and Find Me Now.

The pop-up store will feature the latest SS26 collections, as well as a curation of exclusive collaboration pieces such as the “I Heart” Gym Bag with Affection Blvd (utilizing a vintage-inspired palette), the workout-ready Flow Cropped Tee and Oversized Chi Pants with Participation (designed with the modern athlete in mind), the “Golden Age” Hoodie with CODA (anchored by an homage to nostalgic Hong Kong junk boats), and the Little Tokyo Run Club Jersey (inspired by the vibrant LA neighborhood of Little Tokyo).

Blending a considered retail experience with wellness-led moments, LANG x Kimpton Hong Kong offers a space to browse, decompress, and leave recharged—physically, mentally, and creatively.

So whether you’re in the area, looking to find new inspiration, or just curious about learning more about Asian-founded designers, meet us at our pop-up space and get immersed in LANG things.
