Launched in 2023, Sweet Burden designs sentimental streetwear inspired by the Chinese diaspora. Their designs depict the paradoxes of diasporic identity by blending traditional Chinese motifs with street sensibility. Sweet Burden explores what it means to inherit the burdens of our complicated lineage, and then uplifts the sweeter parts of our community.
