Pineapple Pork Buns, Makgeolli & Asian-Founded Brands: LANG Hosts Official Launch Party at LA’s Pearl River Deli

Pineapple Pork Buns, Makgeolli & Asian-Founded Brands: LANG Hosts Official Launch Party at LA’s Pearl River Deli

By LANG Team

Following LANG’s online soft launch back in September, the LA-based retail concept store officially celebrated its presence stateside with an offline launch party on November 16. Hosted at iconic Chinatown dining hub, Pearl River Deli, LANG invited its community to an immersive brand experience where attendees were able to see, touch and feel all of the brands stocked by LANG. As our community already knows, each and every brand that we carry is hand-selected to make sure that it aligns with LANG’s own ethos of diversity, inclusion and responsible production.

Amongst the showcase of brands was also a debut of several upcoming new collaborations, including Wavy_Dpt x LANG’s fortune cookie glass pendant on a freshwater pearl necklace, available in two different colorways, “Yellow” and “Pink”; and Affection Boulevard x LANG’s tonal red iteration of Affection Blvd’s cult-status heart-shaped tote bag, featuring all-new details such as a LANG-branded leather pocket mirror, heart-shaped stitching, and an interior pocket.

The party was catered by Pearl River Deli, where visitors enjoyed scrumptious treats such as PRD’s famous Pineapple Pork Bun. To complement the tasty nibbles, guests also enjoyed boozy refreshments by Màkku, a female-founded brand centered around makgeolli, Korea’s oldest alcoholic beverage. The balance of flavors was absolutely delectable, if we do say so ourselves.

In addition to hosting friends and family, LANG was excited to finally meet many community members in-person. From press and media showing their support for AANHPI stories, to creatives that we were connecting with IRL for the first time, the launch party was a beautiful way for us to physically manifest the sense of community that is at the core of what we do. At the heart of LANG is people, their unique experiences ingrained into the very fabric of our mutual narrative – it was incredible to be able to provide a space in which meaningful conversations were being shared and vibrant stories were being told.

We’re looking forward to hosting more pop-ups and community events as we continue to grow LANG and we already have some existing things cooking. Stay tuned here to hear about our upcoming events.
