Workshop Introduction
For centuries, the archetypes, warnings, and promises written across tarot cards have been defined, filtered, and commercialized largely through a male gaze—often by men who dictated what fate, power, and destiny looked like for the rest of us. Even the most iconic deck in modern history, the Rider-Waite-Smith, was entirely brought to life by an overlooked woman artist, Pamela Colman Smith, whose name was kept off the box for decades.
Today, we take that power back.
This workshop is a space to reclaim the symbology of tarot and paint your own deck as a powerful way to step into authorship of your own path. You are here to pick up the brush, redefine the archetypes through your own lived truth, and illustrate a future where your fate is authored entirely by your own hands. Let’s create our own oracle.
About the tutor
Plasticdog, the creative alter ego of Allison. One of her favorite side quests is to build a third space for like minded people to create together and play with colors, shapes and materials - moving between drawing, zine-making and collaging.
